Ohio, 1999.
My first woodworking project was a bed frame made in my father's driveway. Over the next few decades, I honed my craft, and throughout the process also experienced changes in my personal life. Love, death, loss, grief, and growth - with these pivotal moments, I became more connected to my past, while transforming into who I would become.
Throughout life's highs and lows, one thing stays consistent - a search for comfort. Love and Death is a collection of chairs inspired by nostalgia. Each handcrafted piece is named after a member of my family and is meant to evoke the warmth of a hug from your favorite person. Like a life well-lived, Love and Death chairs only get better with age. I can't wait to see what memories you make in them.
