“April” is the fourth table of my 2020 calendar project. Inspired by one of my favorite designers, Jens Risom. It is made of black walnut and vegetable tanned leather.  Dimensions: 20”x56”x16”
 
As I've been thinking about how I can help support so many of my friends and neighbors who also have small businesses that are either closed or operating in a reduced way due to the impacts of cororavirus I realized I could do something with this table project. So many of the businesses in downtown Biddeford are owned by friends and have been the key element in revitalizating our downtown. During the duration of the pandemic, I’ll be donating 50% of the sale of each table to a different business. 

50% of the sale of "April" will go to Banded Brewing Company to help with their staff during this challenging time. Ian McConnell and Ron Graves opened the brewery in 2013 with the idea of brewing high quality craft beers to be distributed throughout New England. When they built out their original tasting room, they didn’t want to have anywhere to sit. Only a counter to order growlers from. I told them that would not last long. People were sure to be drawn in by the beautiful old mill and the lively personalities of the owners. Soon after, there were places to sit. Now, it is a huge tasting room where people spend lots of time. They have great food and an amazing staff. It'a an awesome meeting place for our community and it has been fun to watch them grow over the years. I am not alone in saying that they have been a vital business for downtown Biddeford, I for one can't wait to get back there soon!
